Combined Homepage For The Groups I Moderate

One Human Tribe

Hello there,

How are you? For those of you familiar with the history of why this blog was created, I thought a little introduction was warranted. I originally created this blog to serve as a combined homepage for a few groups I moderated but one night, in a fit of Eureka, I merged two of the groups into one mega list more in line with my principles. IRPRDD and IRPolyRDD are effectively no more. When they were active, they served as (what I had hoped would be) a meeting place for people of Pagan and Poly persuasions from all backgrounds.

My reasons for starting the Pagan and Poly lists were due to a combination of factors. First, at the time, I was both Pagan and Poly (still am Poly actually heh) and I had gotten quite a bit of flack on a few (non-pagan/poly relationship) lists about this. Rather than scream my head off at the moderator for what was honestly unfair behavior on the part of some members, I took the initiative and started the lists.

This put me in a quandry though in that I didn’t want to be a dictatorial moderator controlling each and every little thing being said, while at the same time I didn’t want the lists quiet. So, I sat back and let things run their own course and eventually (duh) everything went pretty much quiet. As they were both ‘closed’ lists to keep spambots out, a lot of people were probably run off by the extra measures used to keep the list safe and relatively free of annoyances.

So, the other night I decided to combine the two relationship lists into one big list with invitations for all to the new list, One Human Tribe.

I am still in the process of deciding whether or not I should open it up for everyone to join or keep it a closed list. On the one hand, I want people to have the freedom to post about just about anything they’d like to without having to worry about censure. On the otherhand, I would like more people to join and participate. This is what this blog is for. It allows for list news, ideas, and views while maintaining the private nature of the list for members. There will also be a signup box here for anyone who wishes to join as well as links to signifigant posts in the sidebar.

So I now invite you all to the new (old) dusty list known as One Human Tribe.
